Year 1
- Meet your advisor and create your degree plan
- Follow us on Instagram to stay connected
- Join a student organization and activate your Roadrunner network
- Visit the CCJ webpage to see which faculty align with your interests
- Meet with your professors to get tips for academic success
- Attend events and workshops in the HCAP Student Success Center
- Attend CCJ Major Day and CCJ Career Day
- Apply for scholarships and awards
- Consider a double major, minor, and/or certificate
- Consider joining the Honors College
Year 2
- Create a resume in VMOCK and create LinkedIn account
- Sign up with an HCAP Peer Mentor
- Meet with the Internship Coordinator to explore career and internship opportunities
- Explore Study Abroad opportunities
- Explore undergraduate research and community engagement opportunities
- Join Alpha Phi Sigma and consider serving as an officer
Year 3
- Create and practice your elevator pitch

- Schedule interview prep session or attend prep workshop
- Consider an Independent Study – meet with CCJ faculty to discuss
