This year's Peer Mentors provide guidance and encouragement by creating opportunities for skill building, fostering a sense of community and belonging, and sharing campus and community resources to enhance students’ HCAP experience.
Alicia Ziegler I am a Junior at UT San Antonio studying Public Health on the pre-med track. I’m excited to serve as an HCAP Peer Mentor this year and help students feel supported as they navigate college life. My goal is to become a physician and make a positive impact in the community. In my free time, I enjoy watching TV shows, cooking, reading fiction, and trying out new restaurants with friends and family.
Alina Sabogal I am a Senior Peer Mentor majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. I’ve been a Peer Mentor since 2023, and I truly love this role because it gives me the chance to connect with students, share my experience, and be a source of support as they navigate college life. Being a PM has been so rewarding. I enjoy helping others feel encouraged, confident, and welcomed here at UT San Antonio.
Delaney Stevens I am a senior at UT San Antonio majoring in Kinesiology, working to attend Physical Therapy school after graduation. As a peer mentor, I enjoy meeting new students, connecting them with valuable campus resources, and supporting their growth as they navigate college life. I am passionate about helping others succeed both academically and personally, and I strive to make a positive impact in the student community.
Gavyn Gonzales I am a sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. This is my first year as a peer mentor and I am excited to work with my fellow students and help them in this challenging environment. My hobbies are playing guitar and playing video games. I hope to have a fun semester and grow from this opportunity.
Jarod Troup I am a senior Kinesiology major. I plan on becoming a respiratory therapist and hope to attend UT Health San Antonio for my Master's. I enjoy playing pickleball and going to amusement parks for fun.
Sudais Imtiaz I am a senior Public Health student with a wide range of interests in the field. My favorite part of working as a peer mentor is connecting with mentees to help them feel supported during their time as a ‘Runner. In my free time, I love to bake and read. I am excited to connect with other HCAP students!
