The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Industrial-Organizational (IO) Psychology. All areas within IO will be considered. We are particularly interested in applicants with research relating to selection or performance appraisal, work and health, workplace inequity / inequality, or applicants in any IO specialty whose interests have potential to contribute to other areas within the department, college, or university (e.g., through collaborations with existing faculty). This position is part of a connected cluster hire of five inter-disciplinary positions to advance science in brain health and trauma.

The goal of this cluster hire is to bring together experts from a wide-range disciplines to conduct innovative, cross-cutting research that explores the complex effects of neurodevelopmental conditions or traumatic stress on brain function and behavior. This position is expected to contribute to the department’s anticipated development of a Clinical Psychology PhD program in the near future. Areas of specialty are open, but the UTSA psychology program is looking to build synergy with respect to its concentrations in areas of health, mental health, and measurement.
Importantly, candidates, regardless of research emphasis, should be able to teach within the areas of core curriculum (e.g., clinical interviewing/assessment, empirically-supported interventions, ethics, multicultural psychology, psychopathology, etc.).
