Gisele Ikuku, a community health worker, is crossing the stage this May with a degree in Public Health. She plans to attend graduate school now that her undergraduate studies are complete.
What made you decide to attend UTSA?
The wide array of academic programs and it is close to my house.
What made you choose your major?
I work as a Community Health Worker and decided to pursue a degree in the same field.
What has been your favorite moment/experience at UTSA?
Being part of different activities offer by the University, like Fiesta.
How did your degree shape your future goals?
By providing me with more knowledge and skills.
If you could give advice to incoming students, what would it be?
Professors are available and willing to help. Do not wait to the last minute.

How do you want to use your degree to make a difference in your community or field?
By being able to help as a public servant.
