(July 23, 2019) — Lori Houston, a graduate of the College’s Master of Public Administration program, is the recipient of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Power Award. She is one of the honorees for the Annual Tribute to Women Business Leaders presented by Ford Motor Company. The awards recognize female leaders who make a difference in San Antonio and embody leadership qualities which have driven their personal success. Houston is the Assistant City Manager for the City of San Antonio. Throughout her career, she has facilitated and overseen projects that represent an investment of over $1 billion in downtown San Antonio. Each recipient designated a college or university to receive a donation that will be used as a scholarship. Houston contributed her $1,000 award to the UTSA College of Public Policy.
