I am a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Hsu’s lab. I graduated from UNTHSC with a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences in May 2024.
I am a recent undergraduate from UTSA with a B.S in Biology. I am planning to apply to graduate school to eventually reach my career goals of working as a researcher in the Microbiology and Immunology field. I am thrilled to be in Dr.Hsu’s Immune fitness lab and for our shared passion in Immunology. I am also excited to learn more about the fitness aspect of Immunity.
I’m a pre-vet senior in the Microbiology & Immunology department. I plan on attending vet school after graduating from UTSA and earning a DVM/PhD dual degree. After graduating from vet school, I plan on researching feline and avian immune diseases. I’m very excited to be a member of Dr. Hsu’s Immune Fitness Lab and learn more about immunology-related concepts and animal care.
I am a junior seeking a Kinesiology degree with a concentration in health science. I am also currently enrolled in the Army ROTC program at UTSA. I plan on continuing my education past graduation through a DPT program and continuing my career as a U.S Army Officer improving the physical readiness of soldiers. I’m very excited to be a part of Dr. Hsu’s Immune Fitness Lab and learn more about immunology and how it relates to exercise science and performance.
I am currently a graduate student in Dr. Hsu’s lab. I have been at UTSA since my undergraduate and joined Dr. Hsu’s lab to start this academic year in August to pursue my master's thesis. I was interested in this lab for my thesis because of the scientific prestige of Dr. Hsu, and the personality he brings to the table as an advisor.
I am currently a graduate student at UTSA, pursuing my M.S. in Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology and Immunology. I received my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Sam Houston State University and hold a current Personal Trainer Certification from the American Council on Exercise. I have worked as a microbiology laboratory teaching assistant, an emergency medical scribe at a level 1 trauma center, and I have volunteered as a physical therapy technician. With my broad experience thus far, I have learned that a well-regulated immune system plays a significant role in our health and fitness as a whole. I am excited to learn and contribute to our collective understanding of immune fitness.
Hello, I am Marco Sanchez. I recently graduated from high school this past spring and began my first year as a freshman this fall semester. I am pursuing a biochemistry degree on a pre-med track. My interest in Dr. Hsu's research was his research in inflammation and how inflammation can be good and bad.
