We are excited about the upcoming moves that will bring the College for Health, Community and Policy together on the Main Campus for the first time since our founding!

In an effort to provide information for our faculty and staff about the upcoming moves both from Downtown Campus to Main Campus, as well as, within the Main Building on Main Campus, we have created this webpage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Faculty & Staff Edition

Yes! HCAP will maintain a presence in support of our programs, students, faculty and staff who utilize the Downtown Campus for our MPA and MSW programs.

Specific assignments and access for the HCAP landing space on the 2nd floor of the Durango Building are still under review by the Dean. Additional clarification is expected shortly, and updates will be shared via email and this website as more information becomes available.

Laura Benedict is serving as the project leader for HCAP for this transition. As we get closer to each department's scheduled closer, she will provide impacted faculty and staff with detailed information about their new location on Main Campus.

We appreciate everyone's patience as each unit's move is finalized and will communicate detailed instructions via email in advance of each transition.

While the full timeline is being finalized, the following tentative dates may guide your planning. We will continue to keep you updated as additional information becomes available.

Please note that the dates below are subject to change and may shift by up to a week earlier or later

  • May 28 – June 3: SWK (DB 4.348 to BVB 3.302)

  • July 13 – July 17: SODE and IHDR

Please note that all furniture will remain in your current office or suite, with the exception of your personal desk chair.

If you have specific furniture needed for storage, such as filing cabinets, these items can be moved and must be labeled and included on the Move Planning Form. Filing cabinets should be emptied and secured prior to the move.

Under-desk filing drawers that are part of desks should not be moved.

The movers will only move those items that have been properly tagged (see the packing instructions FAQ in the next section). They will move:

  • Boxes
  • Furniture Items (such as your personal desk chair and filing cabinets)
  • Computer Equipment

We ask that you take home any personal items or anything you do not want handled by the movers.

You will be receiving a “Move Planning Form” via DocuSign sent from Laura Benedict or Noah Miller prior to your move date.

As you pack, please complete the provided Move Planning Form to include details such as:

  • The number of boxes you will have
  • Any additional loose items you would like the movers to handle (e.g., personal desk chair or computer equipment)
  • Current location of boxes and items
  • New location

Each box you pick up from the Dean’s suites will have a “from/to” sticker. Please clearly indicate the current office number (from) and the destination office number (to) on each sticker.

In addition, please place one colored “Move Solutions” sticker on each box or item you plan to move. Each department has been assigned a different color, as listed below. Please complete each sticker with the building and room number of your new location.

In the “Piece” section of the sticker, label items as “1 of X,” “2 of X,” etc., to indicate the total number of pieces being moved. Please note that movers will not transport any items without a colored sticker.

The colored stickers can be picked up from the HCAP Suite (DB 4.112) starting on 3/30 alongside other moving supplies. Since other departments will have different colors, please be sure to take only take and use the stickers that correspond to your department.

Boxes, packing tape, and bubble wrap are available for you to pick up in Durango Building 4.112 HCAP suite. On the Main Campus, supplies may be picked up from the Dean's Suite in Main Building 2.306.

The supplies will remain in the suite from now through May and can be picked up as needed. 

Some faculty and staff may be taking more equipment home than usual during the move (e.g., computers, monitors, docking stations, external drives, printers, shredders, etc.).

Please note that any university-purchased equipment taken offsite must be documented on a Removal of Equipment form. A Removal of Equipment form will be sent via DocuSign by Laura Benedict or Noah Miller prior to your move.  Please complete the form electronically with your current information.

Security Services is currently re-keying affected spaces. Additional information regarding building access and key pick-up will be shared soon.

Please note that current keys should be turned in at the time new keys are picked up.
