Matthew Martinez, graduate student in the college of public policy’s department of social work and graduate research assistant (GRA) for Dr. Alfred Perez, was recently selected to participate in UTSA’s “Ready, Set, Research” competition sponsored by The Graduate School. A total of 42 graduate students were selected. Matthew will present his paper he is currently co-authoring titled, “Making Meaning of Permanency: The Retrospective Accounts of Young Adults Who Exited Foster Care through Legal Permanency.”
From the UTSA graduate school: Ready, Set, Research is BACK and the stakes are higher! “Ready, Set, Research” is a competition providing graduate students the opportunity to showcase their research… in 3 minutes or less! For the purpose of these competition, the term “research” is interpreted broadly.
8 prizes will be awarded:
Students who are not competing are welcome to attend as part of the audience to cheer on your classmates and vote for “People’s Choice”.
